Youth Work Program

Paid training in urban soil and native planting

The Green Crew brings young adults from participating neighborhoods onto active sites for seasonal work. Apprentices learn soil grading, native perennial identification, tool maintenance, and perennial division under experienced supervisors.

Wages are paid weekly through municipal grants and community contributions. No prior landscaping background is required; sturdy work boots and a willingness to handle heavy Ohio clay are all that we ask.

Free native seed packets and perennial divisions

Distributed each spring and autumn at neighborhood field offices across Cleveland, Akron, and Toledo for local residents.
